Paul Mitchell The School Missouri Columbia offers cosmetology, barbering, esthetics, and instructor training (by invitation only) programs, drawing students from the nearby cities of Jefferson City, Fulton, Mexico, Moberly, Ashland, Sedalia, and many other thriving communities. Conveniently located at the intersection of I-70 and Stadium Drive next to the Columbia Mall, our barbering and cosmetology school in Columbia, MO, offers easy access to a variety of shopping and dining opportunities, university events, and the great outdoors.

Start your cosmetology education and learn real-world haircutting, coloring, styling, makeup, skin care, and nails. You’ll explore the fundamentals and theory in the classroom, then practice skills like braiding, extensions, and other popular techniques in a salon environment, using professional products, tools, and skills
Cosmetology All (1500 hrs)
Barber
Students in our barbering programs learn classic short haircuts as well as scissor and clipper-over-comb techniques, fades, tapers, and precision haircutting. They also learn short-hair color placements, short-hair styling techniques, customized beard grooming, and shaves.
Barbering (1000 hrs)
Esthetics
Learn hands-on skincare techniques and theory in hair removal, waxing, brow design, makeup, facials, facial massage, use of facial machines, and skin therapy.
Esthetician (750 hrs)
Teacher Training
Our Teacher Training program uses various methodologies to teach instructors how to facilitate theory and practical lessons, along with the necessary skill sets to evaluate student performance with proper coaching and feedback, and to prepare students for their cosmetology, barbering, or esthetician state board examination.
Instructor Training (600 hrs)
Manicuring
Students in our nails program learn about manicures, pedicures, nail enhancements, fills, gels, tips, and creative designs, as well as the business skills needed in the nail industry.
